100th Day of School

On the 100th day of school Mrs. Uhing's second grade teamed up with Mrs. Ferguson's first grade to celebrate 100 days of learning.  The two classes enjoyed several different hands-on activities that focused on a variety of academic areas.  The children displayed knowledge and creativity while being engaged in "center" experiences.  Children drew pictures of themselves at 100 years old, completed a graph upon rolling a dice 100 times, estimated a paper chain with 100 links, found 100 Hershey's Kisses and placed in numerical order, and licked a lollipop 100 times as a culminating activity.  The collaboration and critical thinking that took place was exciting to observe and we look forward to using 100 days of knowledge to carry us throughout the year!  Stay tuned for other upcoming adventures with these two dynamic classrooms!
